Malakoff is a 2A school district located in east Texas between Corsicana and Athens on Highway 31. We have approximately 1200 students.
These students are housed on four main campuses including two elementaries, a middle school, and a high school. The buildings are well maintained with our elementaries two years old. The Middle School has gone through a $4,000,000 renovation this summer.
Tool Elementary School, serving students on the west side of the lake, is rated as an exemplary campus by the Texas Education Agency. The High School and Malakoff Elementary are rated as Recognized. The Middle School, as well as the District as a whole are rated acceptable.
The district is working hard to provide all students with learning opportunities that ensure their success after they graduate. Students at Malakoff High School will have the opportunity to take 28 college hour credits. In short, the staff of Malakoff Independent School District is committed to providing all students with an educational opportunity that will give them the tools needed to compete in any field they choose to pursue. For more information, please do not hesitate to e-mail, call, or visit the administrative offices.
