WOMEN'S ATHLETICS

Athletics offers student athletes the opportunity to build character while learning the importance of discipline. Teamwork is a major point of emphasis in all our sports. Through athletics our student athletes will experience the rewards of hard work and learn the value of perseverance. Athletics will provide our athletes the opportunity to build a strong foundation for success in all their future endeavors.

The Athletic banquet will be on Monday May 13 at 6:00pm. The banquet is free for all MHS athletes. Tickets will be sold for friends and families to attend at a cost of $10.00, this will include a bbq dinner.

Physiclas for the 2013-2014 school year will be held on May 16th at the MHS gym. See Coach Driskell for more details.

Senate Bill 82 requires that student athletes be provided training in recognizing symptoms of catastrophic injuries, including head and neck injuries, concussions, asthma attacks, heatstroke, cardiac arrest and injuries requiring use of an AED, the risks of using nutritional supplements. This training will be conducted by the school, using the materials available on the SB 82 portion of the Health and Safety Section of the UIL web site.
