A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL


Welcome to the Leo Orr Sr. Education Center.  Our campus is composed of two educational centers. 

The Discipline Alternative Education Program (DAEP)  known as Malakoff Alternative Program (MAP), is designed to teach students responsible behavior that will enhance their educational environment. Students are placed in DAEP by a campus administrator for disciplinary infractions. The student's educational needs will be provided for by highly qualified teachers during their stay at MAP.  Our goal is to help students be the best that they can be.

The Alternative Education Program (AEP),  known as Gateway, is a credit recovery educational program designed to assist students who are at-risk of dropping out of school.  It is the desire of Malakoff ISD to provide every student the opportunity to earn the needed credits for graduation and to receive a high school diploma.  This is not an open door program but is designed for those who have a legitimate educational need. Each students eligibility will be determined by the high school campus administrator.
