Title IX is Federal legislation that prohibits Federal grants to schools or programs that discriminate on the basis of sex. The Malakoff School District promotes gender equity and does not discriminate based on an individual's sex. Any person who believes he or she has been the victim of unlawful sex discrimination should report the alleged acts immediately to me.
It is the policy of the Malakoff Independent School District not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, or handicap in its educational and vocational programs, activities, or employment as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, as amended and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.
