Gifted and Talented

Gifted and Talented student (GT) means a child or youth who performs or shows potential for performing at a remarkably high level of accomplishment when compared to others of the same age, experience, or environment and who:

• exhibits high-performance capability in an intellectual, creative or artistic area
• possesses an unusual capacity for leadership
• excels in a specific academic field

Malakoff ISD provides instruction for Gifted and Talented students at the campus level.

If you suspect your child may meet the requirement to be identified as a gifted and talented student, please contact your child’s campus Counselor/ or an administrator.
