Dear Malakoff ISD Parents and Guardians,
We hope this message finds each of our students and their families safe and doing well.
Malakoff ISD administration understands your desire for information and realizes the need to prepare students to return to learning. Much of the information districts have received from TEA is directing districts to develop processes and procedures locally, in-district, while following State and Governor mandates. The Malakoff ISD administrative team members are diligently working on back-to-school planning and securing numerous resources to open MISD schools safely.

On August 5th, the primary parent or guardian for each student registered in Malakoff ISD will receive an email with a link to a Parent Commitment Form for the 2020-2021 school year. and submit the Parent Commitment Form on or before August 12th by 11:59 p.m.
We understand families are asked to make decisions on the learning environment for their child(ren) based on the current situation with COVID-19. To accommodate the changing needs of our families, the district will allow changes to a student's learning model at the end of the six weeks. We will communicate the process for making changes at a later time.
The district will be sending you another email on August 5th with the Parent Commitment Form attached.
If you have more than one student attending Malakoff ISD, you will receive a separate email for each individual student. Please be sure to meet the deadline for submission of August 12th. If families change their mind after August 12th, they will need to contact the campus(es) directly before August 19th. This will assist us in preparation to open our campuses and for on-line learning.
