MISD Child Nutrition Services is an Offer versus Serve district for lunch and breakfast; meaning students will choose food items for the meal tray. Meals are then qualified at the cashier station to determine if the meal is reimbursable or if food items must be charged as a-la-carte.
For breakfast to qualify as a reimbursable meal a student must choose at least 3 of the 4 food items offered; one food item MUST be at least a ½ cup fruit or ½ cup juice or choose all 4 food items.
For lunch to qualify as a reimbursable meal a student must choose at least 3 of the 5 food items offered; one MUST be at least a ½ cup fruit or ½ cup vegetable.
Further detail is offered on campus menus on how to choose food items.
Menus are always subject to change without notice.
